TOGETHER AGAIN:
Jack A. Paulsen 86, of Martins Ferry passed away November 12, 2023, peacefully at his home. He was born May 17, 1937, in Wheeling, a son of the late Christian and Mary (Gemensky) Paulsen.
He graduated from Wheeling Central High School, class of 1955 where he was in the band. He retired from the former Scott Lumber Co. in Lansing. He was a board member for the St. Vincent’s Society thrift store and a volunteer. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church Martins Ferry, where he was an alter server, greeter and a member of the Junior Citizens.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Carol, and his brother, James Paulsen, and a grandson Chad Burns.
Jack is survived by his three daughters, Cindy (Mike) Burns of Martins Ferry, Cristy (Buzz) Frakowski of St. Clairsville, and Cathy (Kurt) Pesta of York, PA., seven grandchildren, Kara (Terry) Canter, Katie (Alex) Sipe, Brett Frakowski, Brady (Kylee) Frakowski, Brice Frakowski, Parker Pesta, and Palmer Pesta. Five great grandchildren, Korynne, Josalyn, Adelyn Canter, and Eleanor and Henry Sipe.
Friends may be received at the Wilson Funeral Home Heslop Chapel 415 Walnut St. Martins Ferry, on Thursday November 16, 2023, from 5pm to 7pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church Martins Ferry, with Fr. Thomas Marut as celebrant, interment in Holly Memorial Gardens Pleasant Grove. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Hospital or St. Mary’s Church.
