John Robert "Bob" Krahel

John Robert “Bob” Krahel, 86 of Bridgeport passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 16, 2023, while holding his loving wife’s hand.  He was born on November 17, 1936, the son of the late Peter Paul and Martha Amelia (Hose) Krahel. 

John was retired from Laborers International Union of North America, he was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Clairsville and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife JoAnn (Donovan) Krahel, siblings; Don Krahel, Gene Krahel, Pat Krahel Thomas, Ginny (Red) Krahel Griffiths, Pete Krahel, and Buck Krahel. 

Left to cherish his memory are his wife; Estelle (Meagle) Krahel, son; Christopher (Emily) Shriver- Krahel, daughter; Jodi (Marcia) Krahel, grandchildren; Vanessa (Javan), Nicole, Michael, Jo, and Leah, great-grandchildren; Marley, Everleigh, Freya and Scarlett, sisters; Martha (Rich) Gretchen and Judy (Dan) Crider, several nieces and nephews and great and great-great nieces and nephews.  

Family will receive friends on Sunday, March 26, 2023, from 2-5pm with Vigil Service starting at 2pm, at the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, Ohio 43912. Full Military Honors will be presented by the Belmont County Veterans Association at 2:30pm on Sunday, March 26, 2023, at the funeral home.  Visitation again on Monday, March 27, 2023, from 9am till time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 218 W. Main St., St. Clairsville, Ohio, 43950 with Fr. Thomas Chillog officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
